Expansion with Insta-Pro’s Hi-Gel™ Corn and Soy Processing Technologies

This customer in Southeast Asia began their journey with Insta-Pro International by investing in our ExPress® soybean meal and oil systems, which use high-shear dry extrusion technology and HTST (high-temperature, short-time) processing. This unlocks key nutritional advantages: higher metabolizable energy (ME), improved amino acid digestibility, and effective deactivation of anti-nutritional factors. It also delivers consistent results, producing 43%–47% crude protein, 6%–8% residual oil, and 94%–95% dry matter. With both protein and oil in one ingredient, customers benefit from improved feed efficiency and balanced formulations. The natural oil also contributes to product stability and shelf life.

As their partnership with Insta-Pro grew, the customer expanded into ExPress® cottonseed meal and Hi-Gel™ corn. For the human food segment, they added soy flour and textured soy protein (TSP) to meet local demand for high-protein, nutrient-rich ingredients.

Most recently, the customer expanded its operations to Thailand with a dedicated Hi-Gel™ corn project. This leverages neighboring Myanmar’s role as a key corn exporter in Southeast Asia, transforming raw corn into a high-value ingredient for the Thai feed industry and export markets.
Hi-Gel™ corn is especially valuable in piglet and young animal diets due to its high starch gelatinization (over 90%), which enhances digestibility and energy utilization. Using Insta-Pro technology, it promotes better performance and feed efficiency while reducing the need for added enzymes or oils.
