Extruded stabilized rice bran is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insta-pro.com\/en\/2017\/11\/09\/stabilized-rice-bran-economical-and-nutritional-ingredient-for-poultry-and-swine-diets\/\">high-quality<\/a> feed ingredient that promotes good <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insta-pro.com\/en\/2017\/01\/19\/rice-bran-part-2-extruded-rice-bran-can-help-replace-antibiotics-in-animal-diets\/\">gut health<\/a> and acts to improve feed efficiency and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insta-pro.com\/en\/2017\/01\/12\/rice-bran-part-1-extrusion-can-help-replace-antibiotics-in-animal-diets\/\">reduce feed costs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Extruded stabilized rice bran can be used to help improve animal performance in antibiotic-free nursery pig diets. As described <a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/jas\/article\/91\/2\/907\/4702946\">here<\/a> in a research study, nursery pigs fed ABF diets (dark grey bar) including stabilized rice bran had the greatest feed efficiency of all treatments. This data is shown below. In other words, stabilized rice bran acts as a prebiotic fiber. Prebiotics are non-digestible compounds found naturally in feedstuffs that act as a food source for beneficial bacteria in the lower digestive tract.
